Spend Less on BrightData Bandwidth
Drop-in proxy optimizer for BrightData
Proxy Saver sits in front of your provider, reduces the amount of data you send upstream, and smooths out request behavior.
Why teams pair Proxy Saver with BrightData?
Reduce billed upstream GB
Shared caching and optional content stubbing decrease traffic to BrightData.
Improve session stability
Connection reuse lowers retries and tail latency.
Preserve client behavior
Fingerprint passthrough by default. Impersonation is available when you need it.
How It Works?
Set up Proxy Saver in 5 minutes. Drop in, no code changes
Point your client to the Proxy Saver endpoint.
Install the CA cert for HTTPS interception. (Optional)
Keep your BrightData options (country, session) by forwarding them as-is. (Optional)
What's Under the Hood?
This is where the savings and stability come from
Shared caching for repeat URLs, redirects, and CORS preflights so identical requests are not re-fetched upstream.
Content stubbing that can replace images and stylesheets to shrink payloads when the content isn't required for your workflow.
Connection reuse with keep-alives, HTTP/2 multiplexing, TLS ticket/session resumption, and DNS caching to avoid extra handshakes.
Fingerprint control with a default passthrough mode. Real-browser impersonation can be turned on per need.
Built for Reliability & Control
PAC-file routing and failover for per-domain rules and provider fallback without touching application code.
Certificates and HTTPS visibility by using a managed CA only when you choose to inspect and optimize encrypted traffic.
Secret handling where upstream credentials are stored encrypted and never in plaintext.
Usage visibility with per-instance metrics (transited GB, balance) so you can verify the effect.
Developer-First Experience
We made Scrapfly for ourselves in 2017 and opened it to public in 2020. In that time, we focused on working on the best developer experience possible.
Direct to BrightData vs Proxy Saver in Front
Feature | Direct to BrightData | Proxy Saver + BrightData |
---|---|---|
Bandwidth Use | Full payload billed upstream | ✓ 50% reduction of typical usage * |
Connection Reuse |
New connections more often Pooling depends on your client |
✓ Intelligent pooling, TLS session/ticket reuse, DNS cache resulting in fewer handshakes & retries |
Content Stubbing | Downloads all resources | ✓ Optional image/CSS stubbing to shrink responses without breaking flows |
Fingerprint Behavior | Whatever your client/browser emits | ✓ Preserve by default Optional real-browser impersonation (16+ profiles) when enabled |
Shared Caching | Per-job / per-instance only | ✓ Shared cache across runs/sessions for repeatable targets Community cache pool |
PAC-File Routing / Failover | Manual routing if you build it | ✓ Per-domain rules, multi-provider failover, split routing |
Certificates / HTTPS Visibility | As supported by provider/client |
✓ HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS5 ✓ Works with curl ✓ Requests/HTTPX ✓ Headless browsers, like Selenium, Playwright, or Puppeteer |
Monitoring / Usage | Provider-side only | ✓ Per-instance stats (GB transited, balance) to verify savings |
Cost per GB | $0.40 - $1.20 | ✓ $0.20 |
* Actual reduction depends on your targets (asset density, cacheability, repeated URLs) and retry profile.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this replace my BrightData subscription?
No. Proxy Saver is a middleware service between you and the existing provider. It saves bandwidth on existing proxy subscriptions.
How do fingerprints work?
If you are using Proxy Saver with a real browser for the outgoing connection, it will automatically use the browser fingerprint. For other connections from
HTTP clients, you should use the FpImpersonate
parameter to choose from over 15
available fingerprints.
What libraries does Proxy Saver work with?
Proxy Saver can be used with any library or programming language using the normal proxy server authentication. Instead of using the provider's proxy credentials, you should create a proxy saver instance and use the ones from your Scrapfly dashboard.
Do I need to change my application code?
No. To use Proxy Saver, you should only replace your proxy credentials with the proxy saver instance credentials from your Scrapfly dashboard.
What Do Our Users Say?
"Scalability was a major concern for us as our data scraping needs grew. Scrapfly's Web Scraping API not only handled our increased requests but did so without a hitch. The proxy rotation across 120+ countries ensured we could access data from any region, and their comprehensive documentation made implementation a breeze. It's the most robust API we've used."
"Scrapfly's Web Scraping API has completely transformed our data collection process. The automatic proxy rotation and anti-bot bypass are game-changers. We no longer have to worry about scraping blocks, and the setup was incredibly easy. Within minutes, we had a reliable scraping system pulling the data we needed. I highly recommend this API for any serious developer!"
"My experience with Scrapfly has been overwhelmingly positive. The platform consistently delivers high-quality data, and the anti-bot measures are extremely effective. The support team is always available to help with technical questions and provide guidance. It's a reliable tool that has streamlined our data extraction processes."
